The American Constitutional Rights Union (ACRU) is dedicated to defending the constitutional rights of all Americans. ACRU stands against harmful, anti-constitutional ideologies that have taken hold in our nation’s courts, culture, and bureaucracies. We defend and promote free speech, religious liberty, the Second Amendment, and national sovereignty.

Attorney General Edwin Meese III, ACRU Director
“As Attorney General in the Reagan Administration, I committed myself to conserving and expanding freedom. It was my position that our Constitution, its text, and the original intention behind it, demanded nothing less. To argue otherwise would be to risk, as Abraham Lincoln said, “blowing out the moral lights around us.”
That’s why I’ve, again, taken up my sword in defense of our Constitution and am fighting a very real and present danger to our nation. I serve on the board of an efficient and important organization, the American Constitutional Rights Union. I believe strongly that partnered with ACRU we have a real chance to preserve the freedoms and liberties we hold dear.”

The Incompatibility of Sharia Law with the U.S. Constitution
Texas is voting to ban Sharia law — and for good reason. When apostasy, simply leaving Islam, is a capital crime in over a dozen countries, there is no compatibility with our First Amendment. Just ask Nissar Hussain, a British Pakistani man condemned to death by a Sharia court for converting to Christianity. His warning to America is one we cannot afford to ignore.
Marxist Leftists, the Threat to Our Democracy
America is a Constitutional Republic, not a pure democracy — and the progressive left's push for the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, opposition to the SAVE Act, and efforts to undermine electoral integrity prove they are the real threat to our democratic processes. With Virginia on the verge of becoming the 18th NPVIC state, the stakes for the 2026 midterms couldn't be higher.
One Thing Leads to Another
The basic purpose of the SAVE Act is to require individuals to provide documentary proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections. Now, this sounds just simple, easily comprehensible, and agreeable, right?
President Trump’s Tariffs Put America First — Now Let’s Fine-Tune Them
Effective and firm leadership also entails acknowledging when a policy must be adjusted to reflect the realities on the ground. That’s the case with tin mill products, including tinplate steel, a specialized steel used to produce food cans for everything from beans and broth, carrots and corn to tomatoes and tuna.
It’s Time to Make Education Great Again!
As we look ahead to the future of education in America, we must ask ourselves two questions. How do we want young people in American to be educated, and how do we want them to be assessed academically?
Quote of the Day
Maybe the NAACP should issue a statement on the destruction of the traditional nuclear two-parent family in the Black community. That is probably not a realistic expectation since Black Lives Matter does not support the traditional nuclear family. Supposedly that is also a symbol of white supremacy. Or maybe the NAACP should issue a travel advisory for Blacks to states where murdering unborn black babies by dismemberment has become the number one killer of Blacks . . . over 20 million since 1973 and the Roe v. Wade court decision. That’s genocide.
The Robert B. Carleson Freedom Scholarship

The American Constitutional Rights Union is proud to announce the creation of The Robert B. Carleson Freedom Scholarship, honoring our founder’s lifelong dedication to liberty, limited government, and the principles of the U.S. Constitution.
Beginning in January 2026, this scholarship will be awarded annually to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate a strong commitment to constitutional values and civic responsibility.
Named for Robert B. Carleson, a visionary public servant who championed individual freedom and self-reliance, the scholarship will help deserving students pursue higher education while carrying forward his enduring legacy. Learn more about Robert Carleson’s impact here.

LIVE FREE LOCAL
The phrase, “All politics is local,” carries a lot more weight than one might think. In the Founders’ view of our Constitutional Republic, the ultimate power rests at the most local level possible — the individual citizen. Our Constitution is carefully designed to enumerate powers we voluntarily cede to the government in a descending fashion, starting with the individual and ending with the federal government. That’s right. The real power in our country rests with the individual and then the local and state representatives they elect.
This is why the American Constitutional Rights Union started the Live Free Local initiative. Our aim is to embrace local politics and arm you with the tools to make a difference in your community and state.
ACRU EDUCATION RESOURCES AND LEGAL INITIATIVES
As the Left shamelessly schemes to prevent election integrity measures in state legislatures and abolish them with a federal power grab (H.R. 1/S. 1), their propaganda includes references to Jim Crow laws of the past. ACRU educated the public on this issue some years ago in our publication “The Truth About Jim Crow.”
We encourage you to download this important publication and share with others. It is important to remember the history of Jim Crow and to know that it has nothing to do with present day voting integrity laws. We all should agree that it should be easy to vote and hard to cheat.
