Clarke County, MS
The ACRU won a federal lawsuit against Clarke County, Mississippi’s Election Commission, marking the third time it has forced a Mississippi county to clean up its voter rolls.
In July of 2015, the ACRU sued Clarke County Mississippi for having more voters on the rolls than residents eligible to vote. The lawsuit alleged a violation of Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act, which requires the maintenance of accurate voter rolls.
