The American Constitutional Rights Union (ACRU) is dedicated to defending the constitutional rights of all Americans. ACRU stands against harmful, anti-constitutional ideologies that have taken hold in our nation’s courts, culture, and bureaucracies. We defend and promote free speech, religious liberty, the Second Amendment, and national sovereignty.

Attorney General Edwin Meese III, ACRU Director
“As Attorney General in the Reagan Administration, I committed myself to conserving and expanding freedom. It was my position that our Constitution, its text, and the original intention behind it, demanded nothing less. To argue otherwise would be to risk, as Abraham Lincoln said, “blowing out the moral lights around us.”
That’s why I’ve, again, taken up my sword in defense of our Constitution and am fighting a very real and present danger to our nation. I serve on the board of an efficient and important organization, the American Constitutional Rights Union. I believe strongly that partnered with ACRU we have a real chance to preserve the freedoms and liberties we hold dear.”

Who Owns the American Story?
When $24 billion in foreign sovereign wealth fund money backs a deal to control a third of America's entertainment market, that's not just a business transaction. Allen West makes a compelling case that the proposed Warner Bros. Discovery/Paramount merger is a cultural inflection point we're sleepwalking through. Our stories shape our values, and whoever controls those stories wields real power.
Accountability, the New Political Buzzword
What does “affordability” really mean? Using Abraham Lincoln’s famous warning that the same word can represent both liberty and tyranny, this commentary argues that today’s political push for “affordability” reflects competing visions of economic freedom, and a growing debate over whether government intervention actually makes life more affordable or simply expands control over it.
America Security First
For 47 years, we've operated in a delusional reality when it comes to Iran. The number one state sponsor of Islamic terrorism has killed and maimed our troops, armed Russia with drones, funded proxy wars across the Middle East, and pursued nuclear weapons not for energy but for apocalyptic ambitions. There is no compromise with a regime that chants "Death to America" and means it. Removing Iran as a threat isn't optional. It's a strategic geopolitical imperative.
ACRU Aids Second Amendment Win!
In Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. v. Estados Unidos Mexicanos, the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously held that Mexico failed to plausibly allege that American gun manufacturers aided and abetted criminal activity in Mexico. As a result, the Mexican government’s claim for $10 billion will be dismissed.
INTERVIEW: Sheriffs Awarded for Enforcing Federal Immigration Laws, Resisting Leftist Pressure Groups
In an exclusive interview, Lt. Col. Allen West tells Restoration News that elected sheriffs who partner with federal agents to enforce immigration laws deserve recognition for upholding their oath to the U.S. Constitution while resisting leftist ideologues. Col. West now serves as the executive director of American Constitutional Rights Union (ACRU), which works as a counterbalance to the extreme leftist ACLU.
Quote of the Day
In Leftist Land, regular law-abiding citizens are left defenseless. Police are defunded, disarmed, and deterred. Elites have armed private security details. And criminals are free to terrorize over and over.
This is the antithesis of what should happen in our constitutional republic. In such times, we must hold on dearly to our Constitution, which gives Americans the right to protect themselves and which establishes a system for law and order on which they can depend.
The Robert B. Carleson Freedom Scholarship

The American Constitutional Rights Union is proud to announce the creation of The Robert B. Carleson Freedom Scholarship, honoring our founder’s lifelong dedication to liberty, limited government, and the principles of the U.S. Constitution.
Beginning in January 2026, this scholarship will be awarded annually to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate a strong commitment to constitutional values and civic responsibility.
Named for Robert B. Carleson, a visionary public servant who championed individual freedom and self-reliance, the scholarship will help deserving students pursue higher education while carrying forward his enduring legacy. Learn more about Robert Carleson’s impact here.

ACRU Live Free TV
In this episode of Live Free TV, Lt. Col. Allen West breaks down the escalating crisis in Minneapolis, where city and state officials are refusing to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement. This isn’t an emotional debate. It’s a constitutional one.

As the nation approaches the 250th anniversary of independence, Lt. Col. West examines what happens when elected officials openly defy the Constitution, undermine federal law enforcement, and refuse to protect their states from invasion as required under Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution.

Interview & Speaking Requests
LIVE FREE LOCAL
The phrase, “All politics is local,” carries a lot more weight than one might think. In the Founders’ view of our Constitutional Republic, the ultimate power rests at the most local level possible — the individual citizen. Our Constitution is carefully designed to enumerate powers we voluntarily cede to the government in a descending fashion, starting with the individual and ending with the federal government. That’s right. The real power in our country rests with the individual and then the local and state representatives they elect.
This is why the American Constitutional Rights Union started the Live Free Local initiative. Our aim is to embrace local politics and arm you with the tools to make a difference in your community and state.
ACRU EDUCATION RESOURCES AND LEGAL INITIATIVES
As the Left shamelessly schemes to prevent election integrity measures in state legislatures and abolish them with a federal power grab (H.R. 1/S. 1), their propaganda includes references to Jim Crow laws of the past. ACRU educated the public on this issue some years ago in our publication “The Truth About Jim Crow.”
We encourage you to download this important publication and share with others. It is important to remember the history of Jim Crow and to know that it has nothing to do with present day voting integrity laws. We all should agree that it should be easy to vote and hard to cheat.
Is protecting the very things that make this country great worth 60 seconds of your time? Great! Check out the American Constitutional Rights Union’s Live Free Minute recordings and learn more about the freedoms and liberties that make this country great — and why it’s so important to protect them.
