Empowering Americans to Live Free.

Attorney General Edwin Meese III, ACRU Director
“As Attorney General in the Reagan Administration, I committed myself to conserving and expanding freedom. It was my position that our Constitution, its text, and the original intention behind it, demanded nothing less. To argue otherwise would be to risk, as Abraham Lincoln said, “blowing out the moral lights around us.”
That’s why I’ve, again, taken up my sword in defense of our Constitution and am fighting a very real and present danger to our nation. I serve on the board of an efficient and important organization, the American Constitutional Rights Union. I believe strongly that partnered with ACRU we have a real chance to preserve the freedoms and liberties we hold dear.”

Happy Independence Day Y’all
It is a Republic if you can keep it...and we will continue to say Happy Independence Day, if you know why we are free and independent. Happy 249th Independence Day to my Country, these United States of America..."This We'll Defend."
Allen West: A Case of Dishonor, Shame, and Breaking of an Oath
There are those in our Nation who take an oath but bring dishonor, shame, and violation of that sacred bond upon themselves. It is a very clear choice that one can make: be in service to our Constitutional Republic, serve, protect, preserve, and defend its foundational premises, or pursue something that is antithetical to our rule of law, and break your oath.
The Red-Green Alliance in America
The battle lines are being drawn; it has less to do with political parties but rather two very different and competing philosophies of governance. Obama, Mamdani, Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, Tlaib, Brandon Johnson, Newsome, Karen Bass, the progressive socialist Marxist left, and Islamic jihadists offer us tyranny. I chose Liberty...
Ken Blackwell: School choice is the only solution to what’s wrong with public schools
Public school administrators wield a great deal of power over our children’s lives − too much power. The only solution is school choice. A recent undercover investigation in Ohio by the watchdog group Accuracy in Media underscores the troubling arrogance of administrators who think they know best what values and lessons children should be taught − better than the elected officials who set curriculum guidelines, and better even than those children’s parents.
Von Spakovsky: Election Integrity 2022 in Review: More Improvements Than Damage
As state legislatures begin their 2023 sessions, Americans should know what their states did in 2022 to improve or damage the integrity of the election process.
Quote of the Day
No, our economy is not strong. No, we are no longer energy independent. No, we no longer possess a powerful military deterrent…matter of fact, we are a joke, as indicated by drag queen recruiters. No, we are not respected across the globe because our foreign policy is abysmal, and to have France’s President Macron downplay alliance with the US after a visit to China is telling. No, our streets are not safe, as the progressive socialist leftists by way of their well-placed Soros-backed district attorneys are releasing violent criminals. No, we do not have educational freedom and parental choice when the leftist teachers’ unions concentrate more power. Parents are being told they will lose their children if they do not consent to gender mutilation — heck, we are now struggling to understand what a woman is. We cannot be trusted to decide what car we wish to drive or appliances we want in our home, and we are being told how our home should be constructed.
The dangerous infiltration of cultural Marxism is dividing the Country in a detrimental way.
The Robert B. Carleson Freedom Scholarship

The American Constitutional Rights Union is proud to announce the creation of The Robert B. Carleson Freedom Scholarship, honoring our founder’s lifelong dedication to liberty, limited government, and the principles of the U.S. Constitution.
Beginning in January 2026, this scholarship will be awarded annually to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate a strong commitment to constitutional values and civic responsibility.
Named for Robert B. Carleson, a visionary public servant who championed individual freedom and self-reliance, the scholarship will help deserving students pursue higher education while carrying forward his enduring legacy. Learn more about Robert Carleson’s impact here.

LIVE FREE LOCAL
The phrase, “All politics is local,” carries a lot more weight than one might think. In the Founders’ view of our Constitutional Republic, the ultimate power rests at the most local level possible — the individual citizen. Our Constitution is carefully designed to enumerate powers we voluntarily cede to the government in a descending fashion, starting with the individual and ending with the federal government. That’s right. The real power in our country rests with the individual and then the local and state representatives they elect.
This is why the American Constitutional Rights Union started the Live Free Local initiative. Our aim is to embrace local politics and arm you with the tools to make a difference in your community and state.
ACRU EDUCATION RESOURCES AND LEGAL INITIATIVES
As the Left shamelessly schemes to prevent election integrity measures in state legislatures and abolish them with a federal power grab (H.R. 1/S. 1), their propaganda includes references to Jim Crow laws of the past. ACRU educated the public on this issue some years ago in our publication “The Truth About Jim Crow.”
We encourage you to download this important publication and share with others. It is important to remember the history of Jim Crow and to know that it has nothing to do with present day voting integrity laws. We all should agree that it should be easy to vote and hard to cheat.
Is protecting the very things that make this country great worth 60 seconds of your time? Great!
