Empowering Americans to Live Free.

Attorney General Edwin Meese III, ACRU Director
“As Attorney General in the Reagan Administration, I committed myself to conserving and expanding freedom. It was my position that our Constitution, its text, and the original intention behind it, demanded nothing less. To argue otherwise would be to risk, as Abraham Lincoln said, “blowing out the moral lights around us.”
That’s why I’ve, again, taken up my sword in defense of our Constitution and am fighting a very real and present danger to our nation. I serve on the board of an efficient and important organization, the American Constitutional Rights Union. I believe strongly that partnered with ACRU we have a real chance to preserve the freedoms and liberties we hold dear.”

Don’t Touch the Hot Stove
Somewhere along the way, we as adults have failed in warning our children about the dangers of certain political philosophies...namely Marxism, socialism, communism, and Islamo-fascism.
The Consequences of Treason and Seditious Speech
Yes, we all believe in the freedom of speech and expression, but there is a very clear line that has been, is being, crossed...it must come to an end, and the restoration of the rule of law must be achieved.
Are We Beyond Reasoning with the Marxist Left?
I am trying to understand and reason with individuals who believe that disagreement is a recipe for violence, and yes, death.
West: “The decision by the Arizona Attorney General to sacrifice young women seeking to excel in sports upon the altar of gender dysphoria is highly disconcerting”
Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes (D) is receiving criticism for her decision to not defend a state law prohibiting girls from participating in girls’ sports.
Von Spakovsky: The Latest Election Data Show—Once Again—That “Voter Suppression” Claim Is Just Propaganda
Numerous studies and turnout data from states that have improved the security of their election process through commonsense reforms have shown that making integrity a primary goal of the laws and regulations governing the election process does not “suppress” votes. In fact, it seems to increase voter confidence in elections, which in turn can help to increase turnout. As the U.S. Supreme Court said in 2008 when it found Indiana’s voter ID law to be constitutional and not to be a burden on voters, maintaining “public confidence in the integrity of the electoral process has independent significance, because it encourages citizen participation in the democratic process.”
Quote of the Day
The federal government should be on a zero-based budget system, which is what households and businesses utilize, which means each budget cycle, every spending line item, program has to be justified to be maintained and funded.
As well, we have to rein in the federal government’s ability to print money, manipulate interest rates, spend money they do not have (deficit spending) and borrow money to hide its fiscal failures. The ones who end up carrying this burden are American taxpayers.
The Robert B. Carleson Freedom Scholarship

The American Constitutional Rights Union is proud to announce the creation of The Robert B. Carleson Freedom Scholarship, honoring our founder’s lifelong dedication to liberty, limited government, and the principles of the U.S. Constitution.
Beginning in January 2026, this scholarship will be awarded annually to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate a strong commitment to constitutional values and civic responsibility.
Named for Robert B. Carleson, a visionary public servant who championed individual freedom and self-reliance, the scholarship will help deserving students pursue higher education while carrying forward his enduring legacy. Learn more about Robert Carleson’s impact here.

Things just keep getting curiouser and curiouser. What is the Supremacy Clause, and what part of that does Washington AG Nick Brown not get? A sheriff is a duly elected constitutional officer. Why is Brown suing the Adams County Sheriff for doing his job?

Start with a heaping helping of open borders, add the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, then fold in some Judicial Review. Seems to be a recipe for confusion for the left! Not to worry. Check out what Col. Allen West has to say. He'll get us un-confused!

LIVE FREE LOCAL
The phrase, “All politics is local,” carries a lot more weight than one might think. In the Founders’ view of our Constitutional Republic, the ultimate power rests at the most local level possible — the individual citizen. Our Constitution is carefully designed to enumerate powers we voluntarily cede to the government in a descending fashion, starting with the individual and ending with the federal government. That’s right. The real power in our country rests with the individual and then the local and state representatives they elect.
This is why the American Constitutional Rights Union started the Live Free Local initiative. Our aim is to embrace local politics and arm you with the tools to make a difference in your community and state.
ACRU EDUCATION RESOURCES AND LEGAL INITIATIVES
As the Left shamelessly schemes to prevent election integrity measures in state legislatures and abolish them with a federal power grab (H.R. 1/S. 1), their propaganda includes references to Jim Crow laws of the past. ACRU educated the public on this issue some years ago in our publication “The Truth About Jim Crow.”
We encourage you to download this important publication and share with others. It is important to remember the history of Jim Crow and to know that it has nothing to do with present day voting integrity laws. We all should agree that it should be easy to vote and hard to cheat.
Is protecting the very things that make this country great worth 60 seconds of your time? Great! Check out the American Constitutional Rights Union’s Live Free Minute recordings and learn more about the freedoms and liberties that make this country great — and why it’s so important to protect them.
