Freedom of Religion…for Who?
The very first freedom, liberty, in our individual Bill of Rights is the freedom of religion and the free exercise thereof. So, with this backdrop, I found it quite interesting, hypocritical, earlier this week on Monday, that four Muslim women in hijabs were passing out Qurans and hijabs at Wylie East HS in Wylie, Texas.
Stop Calling Them Democrats
America was founded on individual liberty, not collectivist control, but 250 years later, that core principle is under direct assault. From dismissing rugged individualism to embracing Marxist ideology, today’s political left no longer even pretends to align with the ideals of the Declaration of Independence.
A Challenge of Constitutional Will
From encrypted coordination to open obstruction of federal law enforcement, events in Minneapolis fit the textbook definition of an insurgency. Calling it anything else requires abandoning both legal definitions and intellectual honesty.
Increased Devotion
President Abraham Lincoln was not the featured speaker for the dedication of the Gettysburg National Cemetery, but his 263-word speech will never be forgotten. When I think about Memorial Day it is truly about those of us who still walk about taking increased devotion to those who have given the last full measure of devotion. Memorial Day is special to me because my Dad and Mom are buried together in Marietta National Cemetery in Georgia. My Dad, Herman West Sr., was a World War II US Army Corporal who answered the call of duty to serve his Nation, even when his Nation did not serve him. My Dad wanted to be a part of a new birth of freedom for people far and away from him in the European Theater of Operations (ETO). And having been born in 1920 in the South, Dad was yet to experience many of those freedoms, but that did not deter him.
Governor Hobbs Thumbs Nose at Election Integrity and American Manufacturing
The integrity of our electoral process is vital to maintaining the foundations of democracy. Reliable and secure voting machines play a crucial role in the faith, trust, and confidence of our elections. Knowing and understanding this, the Arizona Legislature just passed H.B. 2613, which would have mandated voting machines used in state elections be made in America. Furthermore, this legislation would have required all those voting machines to have 100% of their parts and components sourced and assembled in the U.S.

Our nation, these United States of America, is close to $32 trillion in debt. Our debt to GDP ratio is creeping close to 130 percent, meaning that our debt is outpacing our economic production, gross domestic product. The net interest on the debt is hitting $1 trillion, far more than what we appropriate to our national security and defense. Every American taxpayer would have to write a check for over $200,000 to eradicate the debt. Every American citizen is on the hook for $90, 000.
The Robert B. Carleson Freedom Scholarship
The American Constitutional Rights Union is proud to announce the creation of The Robert B. Carleson Freedom Scholarship, honoring our founder’s lifelong dedication to liberty, limited government, and the principles of the U.S. Constitution.
Beginning in January 2026, this scholarship will be awarded annually to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate a strong commitment to constitutional values and civic responsibility.
Named for Robert B. Carleson, a visionary public servant who championed individual freedom and self-reliance, the scholarship will help deserving students pursue higher education while carrying forward his enduring legacy. Learn more about Robert Carleson’s impact here.
The Defenders Initiative recognizes law enforcement agencies honoring their constitutional oath to protect and to serve by working cooperatively with ICE to identify, process, and detain dangerous immigration offenders per Section 287(g).

As the Left shamelessly schemes to prevent election integrity measures in state legislatures and abolish them with a federal power grab (H.R. 1/S. 1), their propaganda includes references to Jim Crow laws of the past. ACRU educated the public on this issue some years ago in our publication “The Truth About Jim Crow.”
