The American Constitutional Rights Union (ACRU) is dedicated to defending the constitutional rights of all Americans. ACRU stands against harmful, anti-constitutional ideologies that have taken hold in our nation’s courts, culture, and bureaucracies. We defend and promote free speech, religious liberty, the Second Amendment, and national sovereignty.

Attorney General Edwin Meese III, ACRU Director
“As Attorney General in the Reagan Administration, I committed myself to conserving and expanding freedom. It was my position that our Constitution, its text, and the original intention behind it, demanded nothing less. To argue otherwise would be to risk, as Abraham Lincoln said, “blowing out the moral lights around us.”
That’s why I’ve, again, taken up my sword in defense of our Constitution and am fighting a very real and present danger to our nation. I serve on the board of an efficient and important organization, the American Constitutional Rights Union. I believe strongly that partnered with ACRU we have a real chance to preserve the freedoms and liberties we hold dear.”

A Challenge of Constitutional Will
From encrypted coordination to open obstruction of federal law enforcement, events in Minneapolis fit the textbook definition of an insurgency. Calling it anything else requires abandoning both legal definitions and intellectual honesty.
Why Are There Black Marxist Leftists?
So, as we enter Black History Month 2026, the year of our 250th independence anniversary, why do we have Black Marxist leftists? When one objectively studies Marx and his Communist Manifesto, one will see everything that has nothing in common with American Blacks.
Breaking the Law
The preeminent role of government is to safeguard the unalienable, natural rights of the individual: life, liberty, and property. Instead of each of us going about as armed vigilantes, we submit to the government the responsibility to collectively secure and protect those rights.
Standing With Truth and Integrity Against Disinformation
In a world where oppressive regimes constantly challenge human rights advocacy, the disinformation campaign against Professor Javaid Rehman, former United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran, underscores the lengths to which authoritarian states like Iran will go to silence dissent. This campaign aims to discredit a dedicated human rights advocate.
States Should Pass Proof of Citizenship Laws to Register to Vote
Now that the Supreme Court has affirmed states can require proof of citizenship to register to vote, Republican governors and lawmakers should pass such election integrity measures ahead of Election Day, calling special sessions if their state constitution allows it.
Quote of the Day
The US Constitution, our rule of law, clearly states in Article IV, Section 4 “the guarantee clause,” that the federal government has the enumerated responsibility to protect every state in the Union from invasion. There can be no debate that our Constitutional Republic is facing a massive invasion of illegal immigrants, and it has had a detrimental consequences for drug, human, and sex trafficking. As we have articulated here previously, the Biden administration is in violation of the US Constitution with their open border leftist policy agenda . . . a high crime and misdemeanor, a treasonous offense, subverting the sovereignty of these United States.
The Robert B. Carleson Freedom Scholarship

The American Constitutional Rights Union is proud to announce the creation of The Robert B. Carleson Freedom Scholarship, honoring our founder’s lifelong dedication to liberty, limited government, and the principles of the U.S. Constitution.
Beginning in January 2026, this scholarship will be awarded annually to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate a strong commitment to constitutional values and civic responsibility.
Named for Robert B. Carleson, a visionary public servant who championed individual freedom and self-reliance, the scholarship will help deserving students pursue higher education while carrying forward his enduring legacy. Learn more about Robert Carleson’s impact here.

LIVE FREE LOCAL
The phrase, “All politics is local,” carries a lot more weight than one might think. In the Founders’ view of our Constitutional Republic, the ultimate power rests at the most local level possible — the individual citizen. Our Constitution is carefully designed to enumerate powers we voluntarily cede to the government in a descending fashion, starting with the individual and ending with the federal government. That’s right. The real power in our country rests with the individual and then the local and state representatives they elect.
This is why the American Constitutional Rights Union started the Live Free Local initiative. Our aim is to embrace local politics and arm you with the tools to make a difference in your community and state.
ACRU EDUCATION RESOURCES AND LEGAL INITIATIVES
As the Left shamelessly schemes to prevent election integrity measures in state legislatures and abolish them with a federal power grab (H.R. 1/S. 1), their propaganda includes references to Jim Crow laws of the past. ACRU educated the public on this issue some years ago in our publication “The Truth About Jim Crow.”
We encourage you to download this important publication and share with others. It is important to remember the history of Jim Crow and to know that it has nothing to do with present day voting integrity laws. We all should agree that it should be easy to vote and hard to cheat.
