What a difference Constitutional Justices make

For decades, Ninth Circuit Court leftist judges stood athwart Constitutional freedoms and yelled “stop!” Since President Trump replaced a third of its activist judges, its decisions have changed. This includes a recent pro-Second Amendment decision slapping down a magazine ban by California politicians. The “new 9th” has reminded California that its citizens are still protected by the federal Constitution.

Wisdom from a regular gal

Ms. Elizabeth Ward Nottrodt likes to write letters to the editor, and for that we are grateful. We like to circle back to first principles at ACRU, and Ms. Nottrodt’s latest Washington Times letter on foundational property rights vs. anti-rule of law destructive Marxism is right on the money. Property rights rule no. 1? “Don’t touch other peoples’ stuff.”

Liberal New York AG launches dishonest anti-2A campaign

With power vested in her by New York’s political leftists, NY AG Letitia James is suing the NRA for what she’s decided are too many executive “perks,” over which she has no authority. NRA has a Constitutional right to conduct business according to its by-laws, and its members have a right to complain if they don’t like it. But she wants to close down the NRA entirely, so it’s not about specific executives. We suspect her blatant attempt to discourage Second Amendment voters will be a gross misfire.

The 2nd Amendment is/should be equal among Constitutional rights

Another liberal city is attempting to restrict the rights of its lawful, gun owning citizens to arm themselves in public. Although Virginia has a right to open carry law, the city of Newport News doesn’t want to honor it and will vote on a restrictive new law in mid-July. Gun grabbers learned that a national gun grab is too loud and obvious, so they chip away at the local level. Heads up; don’t let them.

Restricted public policing and our basic rights

By |2023-03-06T12:11:45-05:00April 3rd, 2020|

Numerous reports abound from cities and counties that officers will not be sent to "non criminal" or "non violent" complaints due to fears of COVID-19 contagion. It begs a question we've never had to ask before-the balance between crime, personal safety and restricted policing policy. As we ponder this balance, the Second Amendment is still in the Constitution, every citizen still has a right to self protection, and we pray for safety of our first responders.

Liberals can't fool us with tricky names for bad law

By |2023-03-06T12:11:48-05:00March 6th, 2020|

Liberals are really good at coming up with titles for horrible legislation to try fool people into thinking some bill is a good idea. Such is the case with New Mexico's "Extreme Risk Firearm Protection Order Act" just signed by the state's Democrat Governor. It's a red flag law. It takes away due process. It stomps on the Bill of Rights. Most New Mexico sheriffs (the people who are actually responsible for public safety) agree with us. They don't agree with this un-Constitutional bill and they have plans to sue. Well done, sheriffs.

Good guys with guns tour a state capitol and fun breaks out

We love the picture in this article, so make sure you look. Apparently in Kentucky, you can’t bring an umbrella into the capitol building, but you can bring a gun. Irritated by Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, who tried to accuse VA lawful gun owners of being criminals before a fully armed, fully peaceful pro-2A rally on January 20th, KY gun owners decided to march on their capital in solidarity. The armed protestors loved the statues and paintings, had a great time, and not a single bad thing happened. Daniel Boone would be proud. We certainly are.

NM sheriffs raise red flag on red flag laws

New Mexico Sheriffs Association members take their oath to uphold the rule of law seriously. Last year they halted state red flag legislation. They plan on doing the same this year, as their spokesperson noted, “This bill violates (the Constitution) and due process. It violates the 4th Amendment and 5th Amendment without (the accused) committing a criminal act.” They will refuse to enforce red flag warrants. Without law enforcement officers like these, liberal legislators would have full reign to restrict our rights.

Gun owners win the day in Richmond

By |2023-03-06T12:11:59-05:00January 27th, 2020|

Despite efforts by Virginia Governor Ralph Northam to dishonestly paint lawful gun owners as lunatics and white supremacists, the truth won out in Virginia's capital on Monday, January 20th. Since taking over state government last November, Virginia Democrats have proposed no fewer than 87 gun ownership restrictions. Northam designated "rally square" as gun free, so gun owners cheerfully rallied on the streets outside the cordoned area-with their guns. Northam designated gun owners as a "threat"-so they cheerfully defended their rights with no negative incidents. Thanks to everyone who showed up to defend our freedom and proved once again that the safest place in America is beside a good guy or gal with a gun. Thanks to all the gun owning ladies and their signs noting, "Gun Rights are Women's Rights."
