Next week is the 238th anniversary of Constitution Day, September 17, 1787. Above is the preamble to our Constitution, which strategically outlines the fundamental tasks of our federal government. The Constitution then goes on to develop the respective specific duties, tasks, enumerated powers, and responsibilities of our three branches of government and provides our individual Bill of Rights. However, I want to focus on the first two strategic tasks of our federal government, actually government period. The Constitution establishes our rule of law, our understanding of justice and challenges the government to ensure domestic tranquility.

Consequences of a Broken Promise

Imagine you are 23 year-old Iryna Zaretska, a Ukrainian refugee, who has come to the shores of this great Nation fleeing her war torn Country. A young woman who believed in all the promises was offered a place where she had the equality of opportunity to live out her dreams. Perhaps Iryna read the preamble of the Constitution and believed in the promise of justice and domestic tranquility…then something went very wrong.

Young Iryna, sitting on a local light rail train in Charlotte, North Carolina, getting off from work, minding her own business scrolling through her cell phone, only to be brutally stabbed to death. No reason, no instigation or incitement, no chance to defend herself as her attacker thrust a knife into her neck, and she bled to death.

For Iryna Zaretska, there was no domestic tranquility, and this is a recurring phenomenon all across America, mainly in Marxist leftist-run cities. That young Iryna lost her life to someone who had multiple (I believe 14 prior arrests) is unconscionable. See, Iryna believed that justice meant that those who break the law, criminals, would be justly incarcerated.

After all, it was the French economist Frederic Bastiat who wrote in his essay, “The Law”, that the purpose of government was to protect the life, liberty, and property of individuals. Sadly, activist leftist judges did not live up to the promise to establish justice but instead abide by their delusion of “social justice”.

The Constitution granted the right to Iryna to keep and bear arms, a right which states, “being necessary for the security of a free state”…and enabled Iryna to defend herself. Sadly, she was not able to do so.

Ignoring the Social Contract… On Purpose

I find it highly disconcerting that the leftists in America chose to disregard the travesty of Iryna Zaretska’s death. And now when you review their talking points and headlines, they are trying to denigrate the attention to her death as some form of racism. How many more Americans and legal, law-abiding residents of our Nation have to live under the threat of losing their lives?

The left is under a deranged belief that Red States are to blame for the murder epidemic and violent crimes that we are witnessing. Guess what, in those Red States are the cancerous blue cities, where many have restrictive gun control laws, no realizing that criminals do not abide by laws.

So, leftists undermine our domestic tranquility by disarming legal, law abiding citizens, releasing violent criminals back onto the streets, and defunding the law enforcement officers…or worse, like the ACLU, they file lawsuits against law enforcement agencies who are enforcing the law.

Consider this, the Marxist darling, Zohran Mamdani, has admitted that as Mayor, he will not work with ICE and enable New York City to be a sanctuary city for criminal illegal immigrants. How many more women must be set afire by a criminal illegal immigrant? How many more off-duty ICE agents must be shot in the face by criminal illegal immigrants in NYC?

Leftists went apoplectic and demanded the head of a former US Marine Daniel Perry for protecting lives on a NYC subway. Yet, leftists elevate a criminal illegal immigrant who is a human trafficker, wife abuser, and MS-13 gang, no terrorist, member as a model “Maryland Man.” Sadly, leftists say nothing about a Maryland woman, Rachel Morin, who was brutally raped and murdered by a criminal illegal immigrant while walking on a trail.

If the Marxist left believes that their redefining of establishing justice and the undermining of our domestic tranquility is going to bring them electoral success, they are stuck on stupid. When the Governor of Illinois and the Mayor of Chicago dismiss the abhorrent violence, they are telling their citizens they do not care if they live or die. That their insidious ideological agenda and hatred of Donald Trump trumps all care and concern and forces them to side with criminals, not citizens.

Leftists are angry that ICE agents wear face coverings to protect their identities. But think nothing of domestic terrorists like Antifa and Hamas supporters who do the same to conceal their identity from law enforcement. Here in Texas, we are not easily going to forget the Antifa ambush of an illegal immigrant detention facility in Alvarado.

Unfit for Office

Why would we want these maniacal cretins to be in positions as elected officials in our Country? Why have some Americans fallen head over heels in love with Marxists who will sacrifice justice and our domestic tranquility for their ascending to power?

The tragic and horrific death of Iryna Zaretska should disturb us all, then again, how many remember Ava Moore? Laken Riley?Jocelyn Nungaray? Mollie Tibbetts? Lizbeth Medina? Rachel Morin? Kate Steinle?

Yes, I am sure there are many more names of young women who have been victimized by the failure of our justice system and the contributing undermining of our domestic tranquility. The question is, when will we say enough?

I say no more, right now, and I am not advocating for vigilante actions…but when the government breaks the social contract, there’s not too many options. I believe that activist judges who release criminals should be disbarred and held accountable for the results of their “social justice” insanity. Let them share a jail cell with the ones they release. As for elected officials who refuse to ensure our domestic tranquility in the pursuit of “reimagining” law enforcement, they should be removed from office and held complicit if they are creating policies that elevate criminals over citizens.

It all comes back to our Constitution; either you support and defend it, abide and adhere to it, or you don’t. If you do not, then you are not deserving to be in a position of authority in these United States of America.
