Palestine Is a Region…Not a People

It appears that there is an ongoing confusion about the nature of a region in the Middle East called Palestine. History also teaches us that Italian and French sea merchants referred to the same region as the Levant. So did the Islamic terrorist group ISIS/ISIL. Now we have three very delusional heads of state (I find it hard to refer to them as leaders) stating they are going to recognize a “Palestinian State” in September at the United Nations General Assembly. These individuals, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, and French President Emmanuel Macron, have evidenced their lack of comprehension of history and intestinal fortitude to do the right thing.

The word Palestine was first introduced to the region by Roman Emperor Hadrian after the defeat of the Jewish Simon Bar Kokhba revolt, 132 AD-135 AD, also known as the War of Betar and the Third Jewish-Roman War. This revolt would be the last and truly the most devastating rebellion of the Jewish people against the Roman Empire. The consequences resonate to today.

Upon defeating the Jewish rebellion, Hadrian issued two decrees against the Jewish people and Judea. First, he renamed the Jewish capital of Jerusalem as Aeolia Capitolina, and Judea would be known as Syrian Palaestina, which would become known as Palestine. Now, the root word of Palaestina was Philistia, and Hadrian was adding insult to injury as the Philistines were the age-old enemy of the Jewish people, ya know, Samson, David and Goliath. And interestingly enough, the ancient Philistines were not indigenous to the region; their heritage emanated from Greece.

So, the first lesson of history, the word Palestine comes from a decree of Roman Emperor Hadrian as punishment to the Jewish people for their continuous revolts against the Romans. Hadrian’s goal was to eliminate and eradicate Judaism as the Romans felt that it was the driving force behind the series of rebellions. This was the beginning of the Jewish diaspora since Rome sought to destroy the history and memory of the Jewish people.

The second lesson about the region known as Palestine is that, post World War I, when the region fell under British mandate, everyone residing in the region had a passport titled Palestine. It was not a specific designation of a certain people, but anyone residing in that region, and yes, there were Jews there. History has evidenced that there has NEVER been a kingdom called Palestine, not a Nation, not a State, no Emir, Satrap, king…nothing. There has NEVER been a distinct language, currency, coin…again, nothing. It was not until after World War II that it all became an issue, and that is because the world witnessed what happened with the Holocaust, albeit the insidious existence of deniers. One could actually relate back to the first diaspora started by Hadrian and the subsequent ones of the Jewish people, spreading them out across the world. And no different from Hadrian, Hitler sought the eradication and elimination of the Jewish people…and he had an ally in the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, a supporter of the 1928 birthed Islamist organization, the Muslim Brotherhood. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Amin al-Husseini, was appointed to that position in 1921 by the British High Commissioner Herbert Samuel. Al-Husseini met with Hitler and shared a common view on the eradication and elimination of the Jewish people in Europe and the Middle East. al-Husseini was instrumental in raising up aiding Hitler is raising up the Waffen SS unit of Muslim Albanians, the 21st Waffen Mountain Division of the SS Skanderberg.

The third lesson about the region known as Palestine is that the first person to associate the region with Arabs was the nephew of Amin al-Husseini, the leader of the Islamic terrorist organization the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO)…Yasser Arafat. And yes, useful idiots awarded this kaffiyeh-wearing terrorist with a Nobel Peace Prize, even after his organization was responsible for the Munich Olympics terrorist attack, where members of the Jewish Olympic team were massacred. Today, the PLO has renamed itself Fatah and has been legitimized by more useful idiots as the Palestinian Authority, and like Emperor Hadrian, western fools, renamed Judea and Samaria as the West Bank in appeasement for those who have no historical case. And actually, they share the same goal and objective, going back to Hadrian, the eradication and elimination of Israel.

So here we are with Carney, Macron, and Starmer making the insidious declaration that they will recognize a “Palestinian State.” History would say that they are recognizing Israel. However, in their deranged mind, they are recognizing and further legitimizing a terrorist state. Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2006, and the region that once housed the Philistines was taken over by another enemy of the Jewish people, Hamas. Hamas has in its charter the eradication, elimination, and destruction of the modern-day State of Israel and Jews worldwide. And we want to make that a “State?” Yes, people in Gaza are suffering, but that is the result of a heinous attack by a non-state, terrorist organization against an established Nation. Useful Western idiots have been dumping billions of dollars into Gaza…in order to build a system of infiltration and networked tunnels, where hostages have been held and killed. Yes, there are children suffering in Gaza, but that is the responsibility and the consequences of what Hamas did. There are children starving in Yemen, South Sudan, Haiti, the Congo, Chad, and Somalia, and not because of a terrorist organization attack. No great concern there?

The declarations of Carney, Starmer, and Macron are nothing more than abject cowardice by heads of state who refuse to stand up to Islamic jihadists in their own Countries. Jihadists who are in the UK, France, and Canada are aligning with the Marxist leftists to undermine Western civilization. I mean, Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood are laughing at us incessantly because of our reticence to confront them. And America, we are not immune. How many times do we have to see the Hamas terrorist flag flying in our Country to wake up? How insulting to have a member of our U.S. House of Representatives (Rashida Tlaib) who flies the Hamas terrorist flag outside her office. How disgusting that we have people who run to the aid of a jihadist like Mahmoud Khalil, and sue our country for $20M? Even in Texas, an Israel Leadership and Security Summit in Arlington was canceled because of threats from Islamic jihadist groups, instead of investigating them and charging them with domestic terrorism.

Two-state solution? Yes, it was Israel and Jordan that were rejected long ago, violently so, by one Yasser Arafat. It is time we stop cowering to these barbaric terrorists and crush them. No appeasement, acquiescence, negotiation, subjugation, submission, or compromise. Palestine is a region, not a people; it is high time we stop buying into the Islamic jihadist propaganda and enabling anti-Semitism to thrive. We have allowed a totalitarian theocratic-political ideology to take root in Western civilization. It is time to surgically remove this cancer, or watch this “civilization jihad,” the words of the Muslim Brotherhood, to metastasize and kill off the body. Not on my watch!

Canadian PM Carney, UK PM Starmer, and French President Macron need to find their big boy pants and retract their deranged declarations.

Steadfast and Loyal.
