It is always interesting to hear leftists roll out the tired storyline of how the political parties, Republican and Democrat, switched. They have attempted to use that line of thought in order to convince Black Americans that the Democrat party has always stood on their side. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

The Republican Party, the Grand Ole Party, was founded in 1854 on a single issue: emancipation, ending slavery in the United States, something that the Democrats fully supported. It was the Republican Party that passed the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the Constitution, ending slavery, giving freed slaves citizenship, and giving the new American citizens the right to vote. Some would say, “Hey Colonel, that is ancient history.” Well, the 1964 Civil Rights Act became law because of Republican Senator Everett Dirksen and the Senate Republicans, not the Democrats. And the most detrimental policies that have decimated the traditional nuclear Black family, undermined economic and educational opportunities (creating a 21st-century economic plantation), and murdered tens of millions of unborn Black babies (see Margaret Sanger) have emanated from the Democratic Party.

But, if there is an example of the “political parties switching”, I would say one needs to go back to the 1850s and read about the Know Nothing Party. If you have ever watched the movie “The Gangs of New York,” it is a good portrayal of the corrupt Tammany Hall and the anti-immigrant (Catholics mainly) political movement that sought to protect American traditions that gained its name by responding to inquiry by saying, “I Know Nothing.” And it would be in New York City where the largest urban riot in our Nation, the Enlistment Riots, would take place targeting Black Americans.

Today, we have a modern-day version of the Know Nothing Party that seeks to destroy traditional American principles and values. This Marxist/Jihadist alliance and movement advocates for the undermining of our national sovereignty and has little to no regard for our rule of law. After all, our Declaration of Independence and Constitution were written by old white men, who, in actuality, were quite young. Just as the Know Nothing party then sought to operate in the shadows, so it goes for the modern version, and masked violence in the streets is their mantra. I find it interesting that when you confront a Marxist or Islamic jihadist here in America, the truth simply confounds them, and their incessant retort is rooted in frothing at the mouth, name-calling, and unintelligible rhetoric.

Today’s Know Nothing party has only one response for our economic growth: tax the rich, as if that has never been tried before. It is quite perplexing to hear leftists drone on about billionaires, except the ones who resource their street gangs and thugs, like Antifa and BLM. The modern-day Know Nothing party would rather not think in depth about economic issues but just believe that seizing the means of production will make everything fine—another grand idea that has not been tried before, with a hint of sarcasm. As the founding member of the modern Know Nothing party once quipped, “If you own a business, you didn’t build that.” Pure evidence of incompetence when it comes to matters of the economy, growth, and free market enterprise.

And so it goes with matters of energy security. They need to control what we drive, our thermostats, our dishwashers, our flow of toilet water, our stoves, and our freedom of maneuver. This whole thing about developing a multi-faceted energy portfolio is just too complicated for the members of the modern Know Nothing party. The easy answer is, and always will be, we just need to control it.

It is no different from comprehending our national, domestic, and border security. America to the Know Nothings is just a piece of terrain between Canada, Mexico, and some large bodies of water. Why not just let any and everyone come here, especially illegally? Back in the day, Tammany Hall wanted the fresh immigrants registered to vote for their political power. It’s no different today. And why go through all that trouble of enforcing the law? Just get rid of law enforcement officers and have more time-outs with social workers. Yes, criminals just need a wubby, hot chocolate, and to speak about their feelings. That is the easy way for a Know Nothing.

Violence is only warranted when the Know Nothings are challenged by the Know Somethings. Mindless lemmings and useful idiots do not like being exposed as such, and their reaction is what we see playing out on the streets all across America…like the New York City enlistment riots of 1863.

But what greater proof that there is a modern-day Know Nothing party in America than the insidious claim that biological males should compete against females, and I mean real women. What type of degenerate mind comes up with the idea to mutilate the bodies of children? I tend to believe that the original Know Nothing party would even do a double-take on that one.

Today’s Democratic party is indeed our modern-day Know Nothing party. They are bereft of any intellectual and viable ideas, ideals, and solutions. They are, however, very good at destroying the fundamental pillars of our American society, like our once venerable system of education. The last thing that the Know Nothing party wants is an educated population of Know Somethings because that challenges their quest for power and control. This is why Constitutional Conservatives, especially on college and university campuses, are attacked, assaulted, denigrated, disparaged, and derided.

Steven Colbert got canceled by CBS because he is a card-carrying member of the Know Nothing party. The View is going on a hiatus, and maybe they are next, because Americans are tuning out and turning from the Know Nothings. Zoltan Mamdani, Omar Fateh, Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders, Rashida Tlaib, Jasmine Crockett, Brandon Johnson and Ayala Pressley are living proof of the modern-day Know Nothing party.

The question for you is simple: wanna be a Know Nothing, or a Know Something?
