Greetings everyone, I pray y’all enjoyed a blessed and Happy Resurrection Day. When I think about the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, it was all about His taking the high ground of Golgotha and defeating death and reconciling us to the Heavenly Father. In the military, we would always say, “See ya on the high ground.” That expression connotes triumph. And in battle, having the high ground is vital because it offers you a dominant position on the battleground. In my home office, there is a depiction of the U.S. Marines raising the American flag from the high ground of Mount Suribachi on Iwo Jima. There are many times we have heard the expression, “Maintain the moral high ground,” which means to seek out the highest standards of behavior and character.

However, when one considers the delusional path of the progressive socialist left, one can only surmise it as taking the immoral high ground. Let’s admit that for some odd reason, and it is beyond rational comprehension, leftists in America believe that they are pursuing a high ground…but it is rooted in immorality.

Take, for starters, the absurdity of one Maryland Senator, Chris Van Hollen, who once had his congressional office next to mine on the 7th floor of the Longworth House Office Building. He kinda epitomizes the maxim, “Screw up and move up.” Senator Van Hollen believes himself to be on some deranged high ground with his unconscionable trip to El Salvador to plead the case of an El Salvadoran who was in the country illegally. But not just that, this fella, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, was a repeat illegal border crosser and is a confirmed member of the violent El Salvadoran gang, MS-13. On top of that, there have been recent revelations that Garcia is a serial abuser of women.

Now, why would a US Senator decide that this is a case worth dying on a hill for? It is because this is representative of the immoral high ground that the American left has decided to take. And even after a blistering political defeat, they somehow have convinced themselves that fighting for criminal illegal immigrants is a worthy cause. Well, that objective was smacked in the face when the mother of Rachel Morin, Patty Morin, took to the podium at the White House press room and told the story of her daughter, a U.S. citizen, a Marylander, a constituent of Van Hollen. This was done as Van Hollen was in El Salvador advocating for Garcia, the same week when a jury unanimously found a criminal illegal immigrant, single military age male, guilty on all counts of the brutal rape and murder of Rachel Morin.
Leftist news media outlets refused to cover this story. Van Hollen obviously had not offered any condolences to the Morin family. It is apparent that the immoral high ground based upon an insidious ideological agenda is of more value to the left than a young American mother of five.

And it goes even farther than that with leftists maintaining the immoral high ground of mutilating the bodies of children, those under 18 years of age. Perhaps they do not realize that children under 18 are not allowed to get a tattoo, yet the immoral high ground of the left thinks it is fine to permanently, by way of surgery and therapies, destroy the bodies and body parts of our children. And they try to justify this immoral high ground by referring to it as “gender affirming care.” These manipulations of language are the means by which leftists seek to justify their immorality.

Leftists have taken the immoral high ground to put our young girls and women in danger by subjecting them to the abuse of biological males in sporting competitions. Somehow, they desire to make us feel bad about their immorality and their destruction of opportunities for young women. Girls are being hurt by these males who certainly possess muscular density and capability that the female body does not; that is called science. But, somehow, we are supposed to be brow-beaten into submission to accept their immoral high ground, when we who oppose this fallacy own the true moral high ground.

Lastly, leftists, such as Barack Obama and the President of Harvard University, have taken the immoral high ground in conflating freedom of speech, expression, and education with sedition and supporting Islamic jihadists, and jihadism. Why do leftists cry so loudly for those who advocate for the destruction of Western civilization, the killing and kidnapping of Americans, and the incitement to violence against Jews and Jewish students? Are we to believe that we should coddle those who tear down and burn our American flag while hoisting up the flag of a designated terrorist organization, Hamas? You have to be a special kind of stupid to believe that gives you some moral superiority, but that again is the delusion of the immoral high ground of the American left.

The American leftists are against parental rights and educational freedom. The American leftists stand with criminals and terrorists, not for the safety and security, and sovereignty, of our Nation and its people. The American leftists embrace a philosophy of division, cultural Marxism, that undermines our motto of “E Pluribus Unum.” The American leftists care little about our constitutional rights but will disregard them to advance their ideological rights…free healthcare, everyone has a right to own a home, etc. The American leftists believe it is acceptable to assassinate a President, shoot someone working to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse, and firebomb businesses. The American leftists think it is their right to tell you how much toilet water you can flush, what type of shower head you can have, what type of dishwasher and oven you can have…and tell you that even if you are a healthy individual, you cannot go outside. The American leftists dismiss the three branches of government, preferring the three branches of rule: media, academia, and the courts.

Yes, I could go on, but I believe that you understand the issue being presented. If you do not understand, well, chances are you are standing on the immoral high ground. Because if you embrace this philosophy of governance and ideology, well, as Vladimir Lenin said, you’re just a useful idiot.

Thomas Paine once said, “It is the duty of a true Patriot to protect his Country from its government.” That is why this past weekend we celebrated the 250th anniversary of the shot fired heard ’round the world in Lexington, Massachusetts. To the real true American Patriots, I say, “see ya on the high ground.”
