A Texas woman has been charged with 134 counts of election fraud after she allegedly acted to register nursing home residents, many of whom were mentally incapacitated, to vote in the 2020 election.

A second county prosecutor has declined to charge state election commissioners with felony crimes recommended by the Racine County sheriff over guidance the officials issued to help nursing home residents vote during the most threatening months of the coronavirus pandemic.

Kelly Reagan Brunner, a social worker at the Mexia State Supported Living Center, has been charged with 134 counts in an election fraud investigation involving the registration of 67 of the facility’s residents, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced in a press release late Friday afternoon.

A woman whose company handles legal guardianships faces multiple charges of forgery and voter fraud after allegedly attempting to obtain at least 14 absentee ballots — and possibly as many as 26 — for Michigan residents deemed incapacitated.

If there is any single thing where enlightened opinion among the chattering classes reaches unanimity, it's that voter fraud is a myth. Outlets like The New York Times and CNN dismiss worries from President Donald Trump and Republicans about the integrity of our elections as brazen lies. Indeed, as far as they are concerned, any discussion of election cheating is just a Trump tactic aimed at delegitimizing an election he is sure to lose.

One recent case of alleged absentee-ballot fraud happened this past summer in Hialeah, Fla., outside Miami. Police say they were trailing a woman suspected of ballot fraud and saw her enter a nursing-home room. The patient inside was too ill to write, speak or comprehend what was said to her. But somehow, police said, the worker left her room with a completed absentee ballot.

A sheriff is recommending that five members of the Wisconsin Elections Commission be criminally charged for telling local elections officials to send absentee ballots to eight nursing home residents in 2020 instead of sending poll workers to oversee voting there during the coronavirus pandemic.

It appears that the Democratic Party is trying to commandeer the voting process in nursing homes in at least one locale in Virginia, and perhaps elsewhere. A well-known Democratic operative asked a local voter registrar for blanket authority to fill out absentee ballot requests for nursing home residents, a Virginia citizen who serves as an election officer told The Truth. The operative also asked for authority to take possession of all such blank absentee ballots issued and to hold them until the Democratic Party can schedule a ‘Voting Day’ at each nursing home in the district. At ‘Voting day’ events, to be held shortly before the November election, representatives of the Democratic Party would ‘help’ the residents complete their ballots, i.e., assist them in casting their votes. At this writing, two members of the local election board in question are opposed to the Democrats’ request, but the matter is still pending.
