A Post-Constitutional America

In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act
— George Orwell
Greetings, y’all: I often think of this quote from Orwell these days. Sitting and watching an interview with the President of the United States, and he states that he inherited an inflation rate that was at 9%…and the media interviewer does not challenge the deceitful assertion, gives you a reason to remember Orwell. I like to flip around and watch various news outlets and I must admit, there has to be a parallel universe.
Those of you who know and listen to my great friend and consummate constitutionalist, Mark Levin, often hear him use the title of this missive. Sadly, his commentary and assessment are spot on when it comes to seeing America in a post-constitutional state of existence. When you have a person sitting in the office of the president who knows that he does not have the enumerated constitutional power to do certain things, yet does it anyways, and there are no consequences. Yeah, this is where we are in America.
When one reads, which very few Americans have, the Constitution of the United States, you will find in Article I, Section 8 the (18) enumerated powers of the federal government. They begin with “To” and are granted to the legislative branch. However, what was supposed to have been a restrictive document on the powers of the federal government has just become a dirty rug that is routinely stepped upon. The 10th Amendment of the Constitution is quite clear, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” This is known as our system of federalism.
Now, saying such things publicly in an open forum will get me branded as an insurrectionist, extremist, white supremacist, and various other insidious leftist threat monikers. Heck, I could be the recipient of an early morning wake-up courtesy of the FBI…and they aren’t coming to join me for a morning 4-5 mile run.
I have yet to find in the Constitution where the federal government can tell healthy individuals to remain in their homes. I have been searching for that enumerated power to define “essential” businesses, forcing Americans to cease their livelihoods. Heck, can anyone show me where the federal government, or any government, has the right to force an injection into my body under penalty?
Or where does it say that a president can tell a small segment of the population that they are relieved of a private financial obligation (contractual) debt? And that other Americans will assume the duty of paying for said “debt relief.” One of those (18) enumerated powers (duties) of the federal government under Article I, Section 8 is on “rules of naturalization,” meaning immigration and citizenship. I looked over under Article II of the Constitution, the Executive Branch, and I saw nothing about granting citizenship to anyone. I did see that the president is supposed to take an oath to the best of their ability, to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.
Well, that ain’t happening.
But it is not just what we see happening in our legislative and executive branches. We now have a full-scale assault against our fundamental principles and cornerstones.
Just recently, CNN ran a report and looked into the new MAGA “conspiracy theory,” saying that America is a Constitutional Republic. Yea, telling the truth really has become a revolutionary act. See, the leftists, Marxists, keep groaning away like a jackass, their party symbol, about our being a democracy. We ain’t. Yes, we have an electoral system that is a representative democracy, but we have never been a pure democracy, which oftentimes leads to despotism and tyranny. So, now to say that we are a Republic, which the “Guarantee Clause” of the Constitution, Article IV, Section 4 clearly affirms that we are, you can be labeled an insurrectionist.
Isn’t it quite confounding that saying that America is a Republic draws the ire of leftists, but shouting “Death to America” is free speech and expression…or shouting, “Long live the intifada” is acceptable?
Not too long ago, a young woman appeared on an MSNBC program. Can’t call it news. There she addressed her written article where she expressed concern about individuals in America believing that their rights come from God. How doggone incredulous that made her for anyone to believe in the absurdity of Natural Rights theory. You know, that stuff the crackpot English political philosopher, John Locke came up with back in 1689? Yeah, the so-called father of classical liberalism who articulated that man’s (for your woke PC chuckleheads, that means men and women….dunno about those 60 other genders) life, liberty, and property rights naturally came from the Judeo-Christian Creator God, not government with the little “g.” This young lady thought that this was horrible for people to believe that the government does not grant them rights.
Obviously, she had never read the US Declaration of Independence and learned that Thomas Jefferson studied Locke’s Two Treatises on Government as he created a Nation that would be founded on the principle that all men (meaning both genders) are created equal and are endowed by the Creator with certain inalienable rights, those being life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Jefferson even confirmed Locke’s influence when he spoke of “the laws of Nature and Nature’s God,” not to be confused with mother nature worship.
Perhaps this upcoming Independence Day, more people will take the time to read the entire Declaration of Independence. It couldn’t hurt. If not, the left is well prepared to tell you that America was founded in 1619.
The American Constitutional Rights Union will never surrender to or retreat from professing our Constitution. We will fight against the post-constitutional America progressive socialist leftists (Marxists). We want y’all to join us in this grand endeavor to preserve, protect, and defend the longest-running Constitutional Republic that the world has ever known. Nope, we ain’t no doggone democracy. But, if we fail to inform, educate, and activate against the leftist invasion—which is why they embrace the illegal immigrant invasion—one of those (18) enumerated powers is to “repel invasions.” That ain’t happening.
Steadfast and Loyal.
