There can no longer be any doubt about whether the lapse of the Protect America Act has harmed America's intelligence-gathering capabilities. Attorney General Michael Mukasey and the apolitical Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell confirmed this reality in a Feb. 22 letter to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Silvestre Reyes.
The ACLU is currently suing in Alaska courts to remove the property tax exemption from church owned properties.

The ACLU wants Anchorage Superior Court Judge Michael Spaan to throw out a 2006 state law exempting church-owned religious teachers’ housing from property taxes. The properties affected are six homes owned by the Anchorage Baptist Temple that would otherwise pay a total of about $23,000 a year in taxes to the Municipality of Anchorage.

Across the country, governors are rushing to pour more and more tax dollars into state-run preschool programs. Today, all but ten states offer some sort of taxpayer-funded preschool for some three and four year olds - primarily based on need.
This morning (28 February, 2008) the New York Times ran an article by
Carl Hulse, entitled, “McCain’s Canal Zone Birth Prompts Queries About
Whether that Rules Him Out.” The article spends 21paragraphs getting sweaty
palmed over whether John McCain is eligible to be elected President, since
he was born outside the mainland United States.
The article begins, of course, with the requirement in the Constitution
that to be President a person must be a “natural born Citizen.” The

Four school children were killed in Minnesota,
when a women driving a van apparently ran a stop sign, struck and
overturned a school bus. The woman had no drivers license, gave an
apparent false name, and admitted that she was from Mexico. It looks
like she is an illegal alien, in the United States as a direct result of
the “open borders” policy of the ACLU and its political allies. A

D.C., is hosting, yet again, The National Conference on Organized
Resistance. It offers workshops on assorted loony-left ideas, which are
