Mailon Almendares-Martinez, 21, was convicted of conspiracy to transport illegal aliens for his involvement in a failed smuggling operation where two migrants were shot by rival smugglers. The investigation by ICE and Houston Police resulted in eight total convictions of human traffickers who operated between the Texas border and Houston. Almendares-Martinez faces up to 10 years in prison at his August sentencing.
A 29-year-old Salvadoran national was arrested in Kentucky by U.S. Marshals on charges related to a 2022 violent crime in Harris County, Texas. The suspect is one of four men accused of kidnapping a 16-year-old girl and assaulting her at gunpoint on November 22, 2022. The individual is also under investigation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement for alleged gang affiliation.
Hector Padilla Jr., 35, was arrested in Laredo on April 20 by the Texas Department of Public Safety after being placed on Texas' 10 Most Wanted list. Gonzalez had illegally entered the U.S. three times and carried prior convictions for arson, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and driving under the influence. He is currently held at the Montgomery Processing Center pending removal from the United States.

Despite prior deportation orders, Guevara remained free for a decade while Odette advocated for accountability. ICE finally arrested Guevara in March 2025, bringing Odette the justice he had long pursued.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement removed Christopher Alexis Rodriguez Flores, a 24-year-old Salvadoran national wanted for rape against a minor, on April 9, 2025. Rodriguez had been encountered by Border Patrol near Eagle Pass, Texas, in July 2024 and was subsequently deported to El Salvador, where he was turned over to local authorities.
Two undocumented immigrants in Montgomery County, Texas have been arrested and charged with second-degree felony sexual assault of a child. One suspect confessed to the assault, while the second was identified by the victim. Both men face up to 20 years in prison if convicted, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement has filed detainers against them.
