ICE said it removed Solomon Bogale to Ethiopia on March 4 after an immigration judge denied him benefits based on evidence that he identified himself online as a member of Fano, which the Ethiopian government designates as a terrorist group. The agency said his posts called for violence and persecution against ethnic Tigrayans.

ICE arrests 9 illegal alien sex offenders in major California operation

ICE said its Enforcement and Removal Operations arrested nine people with prior sex crime convictions during a targeted operation in the greater Los Angeles area on Jan. 27 and 28. The agency said those taken into custody will face removal proceedings and described the action as part of its public safety mission.

DHS said Santa Clara County officials refused to honor ICE detainers for two Honduran men arrested in connection with the killing of 24-year-old Kembery Chirinos-Flores in Sunnyvale, California. The statement says both had previously entered the United States illegally and that one was also wanted in New Jersey for a separate homicide.

ICE Arrests MS-13 Gang Member in California Wanted for Murder in El Salvador

DHS said ICE arrested David Antonio Aviles Perez in San Diego on March 26, describing him as an MS-13 member wanted in El Salvador on an aggravated murder warrant. The statement says he had also been arrested in California in 2023 on charges including assault with a deadly weapon, drug possession, and petty theft.
