ICE officials stated that Romero represents a significant threat to the law-abiding residents of the region.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement apprehended a Dominican national in Boston who was wanted in his home country for homicide. The individual had illegally entered the United States and was the subject of an outstanding criminal arrest warrant issued by Dominican authorities in July 2017.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested Cosme De Leon-Barrios, 46, a Guatemalan national, in Revere following charges for assault and battery on a family member and a child. De Leon-Barrios illegally entered the United States without inspection or authorization.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested Jose Oswaldo Castro-Castro, a 31-year-old illegally present Ecuadoran national, in Brockton facing charges including aggravated rape of a child and indecent assault and battery on a minor under 14 years old. Castro faces charges following a 2023 indictment by Plymouth County Superior Court.
