Some of you may read the title of this missive and completely comprehend its meaning; others may be scratching your head. Think about it. What are locusts? They are an invasive species of grasshopper that undergoes a dramatic behavioral and physical transformation when their population density increases. This overcrowding causes them to create massive and destructive migratory swarms that destroy ecosystems, especially agriculture. They tend to move from fertile area to fertile area and wreak havoc and decimate the land. Perhaps you are now gaining an understanding as to just where this is heading? America is undergoing a human “locust effect,” and it threatens our fertile ground of liberty, freedom, and individual rights. And amazingly, it is happening in the year of the 250th anniversary of our founding. The aim of this scourge, this pestilence, is to destroy our Constitutional Republic.

First, we have allowed an illegal migratory incursion to take place under the previous Biden administration. And this has been detrimental to our economic well-being as a nation. The insanity of rewarding individuals who have entered our nation illegally is beyond absurd. And I just laugh when I hear Marxists claim that “no individual is illegal.” Well, I look forward to just walking into their home. Title 8, U.S.C. 1325 clearly states that unauthorized entry into our country is a federal offense: a first-time misdemeanor, a felony offense for subsequent violations. This past Sunday, here in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas County, a man stabbed a woman to death and assaulted two minor children, and immediately fled across the border to Mexico. He was apprehended there and is being extradited back. How many cases of illegal immigrants committing crimes, heinous and deadly offenses, against Americans have we faced? And no, this has nothing to do with race; it has everything to do with the prevention of the massive swarms of locusts that were allowed into the fertile land of America, only to destroy it.

Second, we have these Marxists who want to continue to allow this mass swarming into our nation. They embrace the notion of open borders. They also believe that the criminal locusts held in our prisons should be released. Too many American lives are being lost to those recipients of the abject idiocy of Marxist leftists, progressives, socialists, and communists. I am talking about the criminal element in our country. Leftists speak of fairness, but they do not have any concern about everyday, law-abiding Americans leading a prosperous, fertile life. Instead, these dangerous Marxists would expose us all to having our lives destroyed by the very insects that they release into our communities. And of course, due to their anti-law enforcement and anti-Second Amendment positions, they prefer to leave us defenseless against the swarms of illegal, criminal locusts they would unleash upon us like the plagues God used Moses to cast upon Egypt.

Third, so many people are asking me what is happening in Texas, and how can a person like James Talarico be competitive in a U.S. Senate race? Well, I remind people of Robert Francis O’Rourke and his 2018 bid against Sen. Ted Cruz, where he only lost by 2.6%. There has been a locust effect invasion into solid Red, conservative states by Marxists, and they swarm especially into the major urban population centers. This locust effect by leftists flying from Blue states, which they have destroyed, has been repeated over and over again: California, Colorado, New Mexico, Virginia, North Carolina, and it now has its sights set on Texas. Leftists will flee failing Blue states, like present-day California, Illinois, New York, and others, taking flight in swarms and landing in successful Red states with the firm intent to wreak havoc and destruction. The greatest proof of failure of Marxist left policies is in our urban population centers, yet they continue to advocate for their philosophy of failure, creed of ignorance, and gospel of envy. The current Democratic Socialists of America are the prime example.

Lastly, there is another locust swarm that is seeking to destroy our fertile land of freedom: Islamists. It is not enough that there are some 57 Muslim-dominated countries, that have already been decimated; this swarm seeks to infest Western civilization, and erode the fertility of freedom, replacing it with a totalitarian, tyrannical ideology of submission. This strain of locusts has a history of devastation that many have sought to disregard.

Now, of course, I can see the Marxists/Islamists complaining, rambling about being compared to insects. The metaphor is quite appropriate. Locust swarms have brought about famine as they consume and destroy the fertile agriculture of the lands they invade and infest. Just the same, the locusts of Marxism/Islamism have wrought destruction upon the fertile ideals of individual liberty and freedom. As the locust mayor of New York City stated, “We will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism.”

What is the best insecticide against the infestation of these ideological locusts? Yes, it is our U.S. Constitution, the thing that they most want to destroy. It is our own indomitable will, drive, and determination to NEVER surrender, be subjugated, or be subservient. It is truly that rugged individualism that these locusts most despise, and also, most fear. It is time we meet these ideological locusts and turn back the swarm and defeat their infestation. It will not be easy. But the more difficult the challenge, the more glorious the victory.

Let us all commit to not being victims of the locust effect, but recognize it, gird ourselves, become our very own pesticide, and turn back the Marxist/Islamist swarm.
