The “National Popular” Vote

“The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) is a group of blue states, and the District of Columbia, seeking to undermine the Constitution and the establishment of the electoral college. At a time when leftists are crowing about voter ID, this is an attempt to nationalize elections. Leftists across the Country are attempting to disenfranchise voters at the State level by not pledging electors to who won the particular State, but rather to who wins the “National” popular vote. This is unconstitutional and clearly is, as leftists state, a threat to our representative democracy and our democratic process. The Commonwealth of Virginia is the home of the author of our Constitution and the fifth American President, James Monroe. He would be appalled at these Marxist leftists attempting to make their State’s voters subservient to a national whim, a complete violation of Federalism.”
