Extensive coordination and cooperation between the United States and Brazilian law enforcement and prosecution authorities culminated March 26 in a significant enforcement operation to dismantle a transnational criminal organization allegedly responsible for the illicit smuggling of hundreds of individuals from Brazil to the United States.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested Jose Oswaldo Castro-Castro, 31, an illegally present Ecuadoran national charged with aggravated rape of a child, ten-year age difference and indecent assault and battery on a child under 14. Officers with ICE Boston arrested Castro in Brockton, Feb. 25.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement apprehended an illegally present Guatemalan national charged with assault and battery family member and assault and battery on a child with injury. Officers with ICE Boston arrested Cosme De Leon-Barrios, 46, in Revere, Jan. 27.

ICE Boston arrests alien fugitive wanted for homicide in Dominican Republic

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and federal law enforcement partners from the Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Marshals Service apprehended a Dominican fugitive wanted in his native country for homicide. Officers with ICE Boston, agents from DEA New England and Marshals from USMS Boston arrested the Dominican fugitive Mar. 19 in Boston.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested illegal 23-year-old Guatemalan national Keycy Robinson Alexis Barrera-Rosa, April 5, in La Plata, Maryland. Berrera-Rosa is pending charges for the murder of his girlfriend, Lesbia Mileth Ramirez-Guerra, 23. Ramirez was also a Guatemalan alien.

ICE, federal partners arrest Honduran alien for illegally reentering US after 2 deportations | ICE

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement working with federal partners with the Federal Bureau of Investigations and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives arrested an illegally present Honduran national who unlawfully reentered the United States after two previous deportations. Officers with ICE Boston and agents with FBI Boston and ATF Boston arrested Oscar Lopez-Perez, 40, April 16 in Brockton. Lopez-Perez has a prior conviction for assault and battery and has been charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of liquor.

ICE arrests 81 illegal aliens as part of joint federal law enforcement operation in Kentucky, of which 25 also charged with felony criminal offenses | ICE

A federal grand jury indicted an illegal alien, April 17, for his alleged role in smuggling an unaccompanied alien child to the United States and for allegedly submitting a sponsorship application with false statements to the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement to gain custody of the minor after she entered the United States, following a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, FBI, investigation.
