About ACRU Staff

The American Constitutional Rights Union (ACRU) is dedicated to defending the constitutional rights of all Americans. ACRU stands against harmful, anti-constitutional ideologies that have taken hold in our nation’s courts, culture, and bureaucracies. We defend and promote free speech, religious liberty, the Second Amendment, and national sovereignty.

Sandman v. CNN is a case about fundamental freedoms

By |2023-03-06T12:09:06-05:00July 31st, 2020|

Freedom of the press is an important protection, but does not extend to the media deliberately lying and defaming to make a political point. That CNN settled the lawsuit with a young man it inaccurately maligned is an important precedent. It shows the media’s anti-pro life bias, but also that justice can prevail and reminds us that we must watch the watch dogs to ensure our rights to truth, free speech and assembly remain protected.

Police unions thwart justice in cases of true malfeasance

By |2023-03-06T12:09:06-05:00July 31st, 2020|

Unions, in general, are full of good people whose leadership is singularly power seeking and often corrupt. Police unions are no different. We honor and appreciate our law enforcement, but understand that every bushel has a few bad apples. Police unions protect the bad apples from accountability, thus throwing the good fruit under the bus. If we want to change this, we need to start protesting union bosses, not the good men and women in blue protecting our lives on a daily basis.

Justice Roberts becomes the anti-religious freedom swing vote

By |2023-03-06T12:09:07-05:00July 31st, 2020|

An un-Constitutional and absurd ruling from the Supreme Court last week decided a Nevada church had to adhere to arbitrary and biased COVID guidelines from its liberal governor. Democrat Governor Sisolak is allowing hundreds of people into bars and casinos but only 50 souls per church without even considering church size. Casting the First Amendment to the wind, liberal justices were joined by Justice Roberts in pretending our first freedoms are less important than cocktails and Blackjack.

Report says “Conservatism is down,” but is it really?

By |2023-03-06T12:09:07-05:00July 31st, 2020|

Gallup reports that there are fewer self-identified conservatives now than there were in February. (Not at ACRU!) A July Cato Institute poll found that 62% of Americans are afraid to share their political views, including 77% of Republicans. We can all connect the dots between these two surveys. It is more important than ever for us to publicly express our shared Constitutional values as the left tries to shun and shame us into backing down.

How Absentee Voting for US Troops Won the Civil War and Ended Slavery

By |2023-03-06T12:09:07-05:00July 31st, 2020|

We found this wonderful historical story about soldiers’ votes tipping the 1864 election to Lincoln when Democrats were ready to give in to the Confederacy. The win resulted in freedom for America’s slaves and the preservation of the Union after Lincoln’s Secretary of War devised the first plan for military absentee voting. At ACRU, we are as passionate about the sanctity of military vote as was Sec. Stanton. You CAN help … we hope you will visit our Protect Military Votes website to find out how.

Award Winning Democrat Just Got Served With A Stack Of Felony Charges

By |2023-03-06T12:09:08-05:00July 29th, 2020|

The Democratic Party loves the “unconventional methods” of Michigan party official Sherikia Hawkins so much that they gave her an award. Her methods were so unusual that she was arrested on six felony charges. Hawkins engaged the community in voting by “forging records and falsely marking absentee ballots as invalid” during the 2018 midterm election.

Arizona’s Election Integrity Unit is a role model for other states

By |2023-03-06T12:09:08-05:00July 24th, 2020|

Arizona recently upped its game on election integrity with significant improvements to its Election Integrity Unit. These changes include an easy online election fraud reporting system, and aggressive action on any necessary litigation (including a recent double voting case.) We are grateful that Arizona is actively working to prevent fraud, not just waiting to address it after it happens.

USPS failures contribute to suppressing votes

By |2023-03-06T12:09:09-05:00July 24th, 2020|

The current tally of mail in votes voided by California election officials in its March primary is 102,000+. Most were rejected because they arrived too late for counting. Combine the famous inefficiency of the post office with the potential of dishonest officials keeping ballots in the bottom drawer for a day or two, and what you’ve got is stolen votes.

New York election officials skipped math class

By |2023-04-24T22:49:40-04:00July 24th, 2020|

Many important things happen immediately after elections for outgoing, newly incoming, and even incumbent officials. Time wasted counting votes means constituents are ignored and fraud gains an edge. A month after New York’s mail in primaries, winners and losers are still in limbo. New York’s nearly mail-only election is a mess and it’s not going to get better by November.
