State Trooper Arrests Suspected Illegal Immigrant With 18,000 Rounds Of Ammunition

A Wyoming state trooper pulled over Ricardo Paez-Quinones on Interstate 80 near Rawlins and discovered 18,000 rounds of high-caliber rifle ammunition and cocaine in his vehicle after a K-9 drug detection dog alerted officers. Paez-Quinones had been previously deported from the United States twice, in 2012 and 2014. He faces federal charges including being an illegal alien in possession of ammunition, which carries penalties of up to 15 years imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and/or deportation.
