Luis Alonso Argueta-Diaz, 35, was arrested for conspiracy to transport an illegal alien after arranging and partially funding the smuggling of a 17-year-old Honduran minor into the United States. The minor was apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol near Santa Teresa, New Mexico on May 3, and court documents indicate Argueta-Diaz had arranged and partially paid for the smuggling. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison.
