United States Announces Plans to Extradite Three Tren de Aragua Members, Who Have Been Declared Alien Enemies, Wanted by Chile for Homicide and Kidnapping Offenses

The U.S. Department of Justice announced plans to extradite three members of the Tren de Aragua gang — Adrian Rafael Gamez Finol, Miguel Oyola Jimenez, and Edgar Javier Benitez Rubio — to Chile, where they face charges including homicide, kidnapping for ransom, and extortion. The three individuals, all declared alien enemies under the Alien Enemies Act, entered the United States illegally after allegedly committing violent crimes in Chile. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche stated the administration would not tolerate violent illegal aliens in the country and committed to swift action in returning them for justice.
