NYPD Assistant Chief Jason Savino reported that 37 members of Los Diablos de 42 (Little Devils of 42nd Street), a Venezuelan gang affiliated with Tren de Aragua, have accumulated over 240 combined arrests — averaging approximately six arrests per individual. The gang recruits members as young as 8 years old and has conducted coordinated attacks on NYPD officers in Times Square using makeshift weapons. Officials noted that despite hundreds of arrests and releases, none of the gang members have been turned over for deportation despite being in the country illegally.
