A Mexican national was sentenced in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri for illegally reentering the United States after having been previously removed. The case was brought as part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative targeting illegal immigration and transnational criminal organizations. The defendant will serve a federal prison term without the possibility of parole.
