Juan Alexis Castanon-Chavez, 27, of Las Vegas, Nevada, was charged following a March 2, 2025 controlled delivery operation in which Wasatch Metro Drug Task Force agents stopped his vehicle for a traffic violation and seized approximately 7,930 grams of methamphetamine. A federal grand jury returned an indictment on March 12, 2025, charging Castanon-Chavez with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and illegal re-entry of a previously removed alien.
