Lisandro Garcia Ramirez, 22, a Mexican national, was charged in a federal criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Missouri, after he was arrested while transporting five undocumented immigrants through the state. Each of the five passengers told investigators they had paid to be smuggled illegally into the United States and were picked up by Ramirez. The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations.
