U.S. and Brazilian law enforcement coordinated to dismantle a transnational smuggling network responsible for illicitly moving hundreds of individuals from Brazil through Mexico and into the United States. Flavio Alexandre Alves was arrested in Worcester, Massachusetts, charged with conspiracy to bring and transport aliens within the United States for financial gain, while Brazilian Federal Police conducted simultaneous operations in Brazil.
