Three Honduran nationals — Jairo Roney Cabrera-Escoto, 40, of North Carolina, Cristian Eriberto Romero-Soto, 24, and Daniel Jose Felix-Aleman, 24, both of Sandy, Utah — were indicted on April 16, 2025, following an investigation by the Utah County Major Crimes Task Force. Agents executing search warrants in Sandy seized approximately 32,000 fentanyl pills, drug packing materials, and $42,000 in cash at one location, and an additional 20,000 fentanyl pills, cell phones, and over $5,000 in cash at a second location, for a combined total exceeding 52,000 fentanyl pills.
