Immigration and Customs Enforcement continued arresting illegal aliens with violent criminal records across the United States despite the federal government shutdown caused by a funding standoff. Among those arrested were Kemar Hamilton, a Jamaican national convicted of manslaughter and assault in the Bronx, and William Sierra-Galeano, a Colombian national convicted of attempted burglary in White Plains, New York.
