ICE’s Houston field office deported 174 criminal aliens to Mexico over a two-week period, a group that collectively carried 610 criminal convictions ranging from homicide to driving under the influence. One notable case involved Julian Estrada-Garcia, a Mexican national who had illegally entered the United States 39 separate times. The group included 24 gang members and convictions spanning drug trafficking, sexual assault of children, firearms offenses, and human smuggling.
