ICE officers arrested Jeremias Benites Vasquez, a 39-year-old Salvadoran citizen, on May 14, 2025, in Brentwood, New York, after he illegally re-entered the United States following a prior 2009 removal order. Benites was convicted on March 20, 2025, of sexual abuse of a victim less than 13 years old where the defendant was 21 or older. He is currently in ICE custody awaiting removal to El Salvador.
