ICE arrested 38-year-old Ecuadorian national Marcia Lorena Bueno Guartatanga on May 1 in Cortlandt, New York. She had been convicted in October 2022 of acting to injure a child by enabling her husband’s sexual abuse of her daughter, receiving a sentence of 95 days imprisonment and three years probation. She entered the United States without authorization and is held in ICE detention pending removal proceedings.
