ICE Laredo investigation results in the guilty plea of a Mexican illegal alien admitting to transporting child sexual abuse material across state lines to Mexico

Raul Velasco-Leon, 39, pleaded guilty on June 17 to transportation of child sexual abuse material following an investigation by ICE Homeland Security Investigations Laredo with assistance from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. According to court documents, Velasco-Leon was stopped at the Juarez-Lincoln International Bridge on March 12 while traveling from Tennessee, where agents discovered multiple electronic devices containing child sexual abuse material of minor victims approximately 10 years of age. He faces up to 20 years in federal prison and a possible $250,000 fine at sentencing.
