U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested Wahota Allassane Ouattara, a 38-year-old national from Cote d’Ivoire, upon his release from New York state custody on July 23, 2025. Ouattara has nine criminal convictions in the United States encompassing offenses including assault, arson, and attempted robbery. He was transported to an ICE detention facility and is pending removal proceedings.
