ICE officers arrested Ahmed Mohamed Yasser Salama, a 35-year-old Egyptian national, in Corpus Christi on August 19, 2025. Salama had been charged with first-degree felony sexual abuse in 2019 but was granted an immigration bond and released under Biden administration policies. He remained in ICE custody pending immigration proceedings.
