U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 44 undocumented immigrants during an April 6-12 enforcement operation in the Laredo, Texas area, with 24 having criminal convictions or charges and one documented gang member among those apprehended. The individuals faced charges ranging from driving while intoxicated and assault to alien smuggling and illegal re-entry. Some of those arrested are expected to face additional criminal charges or removal proceedings.
