Haitian Man Charged in NC Triple Murder Flew into US Under Biden Migrant Flights Program: ICE

Mackendy Darbouze, a 26-year-old Haitian national, was charged with three counts of first-degree murder for allegedly stabbing three family members — including a 77-year-old woman and two children — in Fayetteville, North Carolina on February 21. ICE confirmed that Darbouze entered the United States in July 2024 through the Biden administration’s CHNV migrant parole program, which allowed up to 30,000 nationals monthly from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to be paroled into the country by air. The case has drawn national attention to the CHNV program’s vetting procedures.
