David Estiven Alvear Carcamo, 20, of Kearns, Utah, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Salt Lake City following his arrest on March 5, 2025. The Wasatch Metro Drug Task Force executed search warrants on a Sandy, Utah residence and vehicle, seizing approximately 10,000 fentanyl pills weighing 2.35 pounds and a handgun. Carcamo is charged with possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute, alien in possession of a firearm and ammunition, and related immigration crimes.
