Gerardo Morales-Ramirez, a citizen of Mexico, pleaded guilty to being a convicted felon found in the United States after illegal reentry in the Northern District of Iowa. Morales-Ramirez was arrested in Sioux City, Iowa after an encounter with Department of Homeland Security officers who determined he did not have permission to be in the United States.
