Attorney General Todd Rokita announced that the Lake County Sheriff’s Department has reversed its previous stance and now cooperates with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, as mandated by Indiana state law. Rokita had previously sent warning letters threatening legal action if the department continued limiting officer cooperation with ICE.
