The bulbs are dim and growing dimmer in Fort Collins, Colorado where recommendations from a city appointed task force threaten to outlaw from the public square everything associated with Christmas. No more colored lights or God fobid – a wreath with a bow! Snowflakes, white lights and unadorned penguins will be the only outside decorations permitted if the silly recommendations are approved at the City Council’s next meeting on November 20. The ACLU was of course represented on the task force, along with fourteen other Ft. Collinians with obviously too much time on their hands.
