These United States are in the midst of creating new Congressional maps for the 2022 election. Things don’t look great for the Democrats. Not only did core Democrat states lose population because large numbers of their citizens voted with their feet, but those citizens also ended up in Red States. Texas AG Ken Paxton has sent a letter to the liberal Cameron County judge and health officials who are demanding faith-based schools stay closed. Paxton’s letter reminds them (we are paraphrasing) that the Constitution is still the law of the land and that religious freedom still extends to religious schools.

And also, the dog ate my ballot

Tennessee officials on Friday sought an appeal and an immediate pause to a court’s ruling this week that lets all 4. 1 million registered voters vote by mail during to the coronavirus pandemic, as the state made updates to its materials to reflect the expansion. The state attorney general’s office filed the request in Davidson County Chancery Court to appeal and stay that court’s temporary injunction that expanded absentee eligibility Thursday.
